Stick a Candle on the Wall

• Enjoy the festive season

Let us consider an interesting game where you will get a chance to play with a candle and generate ways of reaching some outcome.

You are presented with 3 things:-

1. A Candle
2. A box full of matches
3. A box full of thumbtacks

Now suggest a way of fixing the candle on a wall. Believe me there are many ways of achieving it. This exercise will bring your monkey mind to work and bring out the creative ideas that your mind can think of.

Pause for a second; stop reading and think of one or more ways to stick the candle using given resources.

Well lets begin discussing various ideas of reaching the goal:-

1. The first and foremost point that comes to mind is — Melt some of the candle’s wax and use it as an adhesive to stick the candle to the wall.
2. Use 3 matchsticks to support candle on the wall, by putting wax on one end of match sticks; why 3 — so that a good support is made for handling candle.
