Applied Research in Action — ARIA, University of Toronto’s annual event
Master of Science in Applied Computing(MScAC) degree program offered in University of Toronto, is unique in itself as it bridges the gap between academia and industrial research. With different areas of focus to grow the academic knowledge, it provides students with an opportunity to present their skills to the industrial community and fulfill the ever growing thirst of companies searching for exceptional candidates. These industrial partners share a common vision to hire the best leaders for their future. The leaders who are well equipped with academic experiences in a broad range of latest research fields and are goal oriented to deliver more to humanity. Although it’s a sixteen month program on paper, it teaches lifelong lessons to students graduating through the MScAC program.
Research Opportunities offered by industrial partners of MScAC span across a broad range of fields and therefore the kind of skill requirement by these partners vary as well. These opportunities are offered in form long internships spanning 8 months. Some of the major sectors these partners represent include banking domain, ecommerce, AI Research, Healthcare and others.
